The plot behind the Beyblade series centers on the Bladebreakers, who are determined to win the World Beyblading Championship. A young man named Tyson enters the national tournament in hopes of becoming the best competitor in the country. With the other best players in the tournament, a team is formed. The remainder of the series chronicles their adventures around the world as they battle teams in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Along the way, they continue to fight evil entities who want to use Beyblading for evil purposes. In the second season, the team faces an evil lord who wants to take over Beyblading for his own purposes.

One of the most popular gifts in the Beyblade series is its video games. More than ten different titles have been released, spanning several different consoles. Three titles for Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color, only released in Japan; however, these games can be found for purchase through online retailers. In general, the games have been critically criticized; however, this hasn’t stopped the game titles from selling well.
